Generally stable conditions, but be careful in steep terrain, especially where wind deposited slabs are thin or soft, a slab avalanche is easier to trigger here.

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Snødekket er preget av mildvær og regn de siste dagene. I lavlandet er det nå svært lite snø. Det er generelt smelteomvandlet snødekke uten lagdeling av betydning, bortsett fra de høyeste toppene.
Generelt er snødekket tykkere desto lengre øst i regionen man kommer.

7 mm precipitation, up to 18 mm in the most exposed areas. Precipitation as rain. Fresh breeze from south, changing to strong breeze from the south during the afternoon. 0 °C to 5 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Sunday 14. April 2024

5 mm precipitation, up to 10 mm in the most exposed areas. Rain up to 400 m a.s.l Sunday night. Fresh breeze from southwest, changing to fresh breeze from the northwest during the afternoon. -4 °C to 2 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Snøbyger vil gi pålagring i fjellet søndag når temperaturen synker. Nysnøflakene blir likevel små og stabiliseres raskt med begrensede nedbørsmengder. Faren for våte løssnøskred avtar, men vær oppmerksom hvis sola kommer frem og nysnøen blir våt i bratte sørvendte heng.
